Hot brakes

I just replaced my front stock pads with Porterfield R4-S pads. I like the stopping power, alot, but I have a question.

It seems that my rotors/pads are getting hotter, sooner than they used to. Would grooved rotors help this out? I do not want to go with cross-drilled rotors due to cracking, but is it worth it to buy new rotors (looking at DBA's)? Or should I just wait until I wear out the stock rotors (not too much longer with the porterfields, I imagine) and replace them, then.

Thanx

The way I know that the rotors are hotter is because I washed my car and the rotors were SERIOUSLY steaming when I went at the wheels. Never done that before. (side note: Afterwards I thought of the consequences of warping due to the rapidly cooling rotors... a problem?)

I did not do the lines and fluid at the same time. I was kind of waiting to get the lines for some unkown reason.

As for rotors wear: Yes, definitely. It already happened. We had a track day today and my rotors are THRASHED. Definitely need to resurface and I WILL be changing out the rotors sooner than later.

The next question is EBC or DBA rotors?
Thanks
