Help! Rear sway bar problem.

I just installed a Cusco adjustable rear sway bar and Whiteline heavy duty endlinks on a 02 WRX sedan and it feels worse than stock!
The rear end feels squishy, like somebody let air out of the rear tires.

I have it set to the end hole (softest), but I thought that is still supposed to be 135% stiffer than stock. I will try the middle hole this weekend and see if that is better.
I installed it with the links on the INSIDE of the bar (opposite of stock way) because the bar was wider than the stock bar and I thought I read that Cobb and Cusco bars get the links on the inside.
IS THAT CORRECT???

Either way, the links are tilted quite a bit when installed and the side of the link touches the bar a little.(already rubbed off paint)
Could they have sent me the wrong bar? The bends are same as stock, but the Cusco is wider.
Also, the new rubber bushings have a shoulder on them that doesn't really fit correctly under the stock mount clamp.

The car still has body roll and understeer.
The only other suspension mod I have is the Eibach prokit springs on the FRONT only.
Any advice is appreciated.

What is the part number of the Cusco adjustable rear anti-sway bar that you have installed on your car? I can't remember the correct part number offhand but I have an '02 WRX with a Cusco rear anti-sway bar and Whiteline end links installed. It was a straightforward install, nothing weird.

Even at the mildest setting, the Cusco rear anti-sway bar is results in less understeer than stock.

Help! Rear sway bar problem.

Thanks for posting the pic.
Mine doesn't line up that nice with the links. (regardless of which side links are on)
Was your Cusco wider (longer) than the stock bar?
I can't find part # on the bar and it came in a generic box with Japanese instructions.
The vendor said it was the correct part number.

I noticed the end of your bar where the link bolts into is even with the side of the bar, mine is in the middle, that is probably why the link rubs on the bar.

The bars should be the exact same width, at least that's the way they were on my STi:

My Cusco was also the same length as the stock anti-sway bar on my '02 WRX. Everything lined up pretty easily. My Cusco anti-sway bar also came in a cardboard shipping box with the Cusco logo on it in blue. I've misplaced the Japanese language instruction sheet but the box had the following number on it: 666311BJ22.
