Just got in a Cusco front strut brace for my 2004 WRX wagon. It's the OS model, part number 667 540 ALHD, wherein the instructions say it is the for USDM STi. It specifically says GDF chassis Impreza STi with EJ25 motor in the instructions. So, right off the bat it appears to be wrong. But, I thought, who knows, maybe the bar for the STi is made to fit the WRX (even though they have different intercoolers, etc. The instructions show that STi intercooler, btw).

Sinple enough to remove the bracket, strut top nuts, etc. Next, the rubber cushion on the A/C hose bracket most definitely does not seem to be made to be removed and used again. Long story short, I could _probably_ force the bar to work, but only by removing the bar from the mount ends! Even then, it would take some pressure. There's just no way the angles are right for a simple bolt-up.

So, I just want to make sure what seems clear, they sent me the wrong one. Or, do you really have to press the bizatch in hard to get it to fit, even with the A/C bracket removed, etc?

Thanks, Imprezer. Boy, it sure doesn't just line right up, though. I figured you'd pop the strut top nuts off, do the reloxate bracket, and it'd just sit right onto the three studs on each side. But you gotta push this thing into place.
