Unhappy Grinding coming from passenger side

2000 impreza 2.5 rs. im getting a grinding noise coming from the passenger side front, and it gets worse as i drive longer. I looked under the car but the only thing so far that i have found wrong is a ripped boot on my rack and pinion. but the bad boot is on the driver side. not only does the noise get worse as i drive but when i go to turn it sounds really bad. I thought it could be the Wheel Bearing but someone said no. then i thought tierod but which one. now im starting to think worse things like front differential which was already replaced once about 2 years ago. then i thought i might have to replace the rack and pinion ... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated im lookin for things to look at .... Thank you for taking the time to read my huge explanation.
