Front Sway

My Setup:

Helix Rear Sway bar/end links
Eibach Pro Kit
Cusco Front strut bar

Would it be a good Idea to put a front sway bar if I don't want to roll too much? I think I'm having too much roll with my suspension. I mean, it's not that I race or have any track time. Just wanna feel safer while turning.

thanks!

Just save your money for struts. Don't bother with the front sway for now. Or use your money on something else.

No problem. I went thru the same thing. I went with the struts and now it's a totally different car. It also lowered better up front.

Lunch time ride?

I ran a front Cusco bar for a while, and it did a LOT for level feel and turning response, but it made the car understeer at the limit. I do recommend the front bar for feel, but not for track performance. I ended up selling mine to another i-clubber.

If your car is bouncy at all, koni inserts or kybs would help firm it up and get rid of the bounce, and make it feel more stable in those 90mph drifts.

+1 for good info. the front sways dont really do much for the car. if anything itll give you more understeer.

another +1 for new struts!

or you can do koni inserts. they are rated better than the kyb's but they require alot more work.

konis aren't complete struts, just the inside of the strut. So basically when you install the koni inserts you have to "hack" up your existing stock struts, take out the stock insert and put in the koni one. It's a lot more work vs replacing the whole strut assembly like the KYBs.

By the way -- neither company (KYB/koni) has specific struts for MY04+ out yet. Some ppl have put 02/03 struts in their 04s with success, but you may need an extra washer for it to fit correctly.
