I have a WRX, and I am getting a Cusco Rear Sway bar, and wanted any kind of feed back that I can get. Does this bar use the stock Bar mounts, or does it come with new ones? Any body ever break one of the sway bar mounts? I will be using these with Kartboy endlinks.

Cant speak from experience since I have a 99 OBS w/ whiteline, but here goes.

You don't need upgraded mounts. The stock ones should work fine, but while your at it, why not buy new mounts (90 bucks) and then you don't have to worry at all about the mounts, and everything around the swaybar'l be upgraded. But again, its not necessary.

I've heard of 1 person who broke their mounts, but that was with a 24mm swaybar, so I don't really know

DILLIGAF Racing- the Cusco rear swaybar does not come with heavy duty mounts, but will work with the stock WRX mounts. I have heard of people in our area breaking the stock mounts when using an thicker aftermarket swaybars, but only under extreme loads such as auto-x events.

Well, thanks for the replies. It will see some autox, just not much. I read somewhere, on one of the boards, that the 04 has beefier mounts, don't know if this is true or not. So if for some reason I do break one, then maybe I will look into that.

The '04 mounts are, indeed, much stronger than the '02-'03. They cost ~$30, shipped from subaruparts.com. I installed the '04 mounts on my '02 and the only PITA is the foreward passengers side bracket attach bolt...a 1/4" drive flex socket(NOT a socket and u-joint) is your friend here

(1ea) 20540FE210 Brkt Stabilizer Lh
(2ea) 20466FE000 Clamp Stabilizer Bsh

you will also need a couple fiber self locking nuts...I also installed some Energy Suspension urethane bushings to replace the worn out ones my RSB came with.....piece of cake
