Dropping Outback Help

Someone please settle this for me.
I find some good coilovers for my98 Legacy , They say NOT FOR OUTBACK. Why is this? Will they not fit the Outback? Will they through the suspension off? I read that I can put Impreza coilovers on a Legacy. I dont want to buy something and have it be a waste of time and money.
Can I put Tein Coilovers on a Legacy Outback? I would like to drop it 2" and improve handling.
Please help me. thanks.

If a Legacy gt or Impreza suited my needs i would have bought one. I needed the wagon for my dog(who looks like scooby-doo)
What I would like is some adjustable coilovers for my car. Not advise about what to buy. My next car will be an Sti, the wagon will be the winterbeater.

Impreza wagons are tiny, my dog wouldn't fit in the back. I didn't think the Outback was that different from the Legacy wagon when I bought it 3 mos. ago. I still have to pay the loan off so a new car is out of the question. Sorry about the tone before. I want coilovers so i can drop it an inch in the summer and raise it an inch in the winter until i trade for a new turbo legacy or an sti.

Well, only because you put a
at the end.
I wouldn't adjust coilovers like that every season but if you got the time go for it. Also remember you will have to get an alignment each time your raise/lower the car.
There is an outback forum on www.impreza.net (nasioc). Ask on there, they will probably know.
I don't know what all you would have to change to get regular legacy coilovers to fit an outback.

According to Rallitek, there is an adapter. Top strut spring mount or top spring strut mount or something like that. It's off an Impreza. If that will allow me to put impreza springs or coilovers on an outback then YAHOOO! It took me forever to find this information on several different forums. No one knew. I found it myself one day just checking out Rallitek News and seen a pic of a lowered Legacy Outback.
