WTHHH!!!

So today I tried changing my brakes and rotors but apparently the front right brake caliper bracket is different from original, but the front left brake caliper bracket is original. how do i know this? well the top and bottom tabs on the brake pads wont fit. After further examining the pads and bracket i came to a conclusion that those are different. Initially thought the company sold me a wrong size pads, but it seemed like the different size brake pads were "modified" to fit, it look like they grinded the tab to make it narrower to make it fit the bracket...

will post pictures in a little bit, just wanted to confirm this with others before I buy new brackets.

 

so after some research online and after talking to subaru parts specialist in Oakland...seems like the pads i have are impreza pads and brackets. My question now is that does anyone here know if the brake mounting brackets between the 2004 impreza and wrx are interchangeable? I dont want to buy a 2004 wrx bracket and find out that it doesnt work with my wrx caliper...i guess all more reason to upgrade my brakes but just need bandaid fix for now.
