i just picked mine up this weekend. im planning to start working on it in just a couple hours. gst said they work fine on the stock shocks...i'll try to get back to you and let you know how the ride is. =]
As with Prodrive springs, they claim they are made for the factory dampers. But with the significantly lowered front and greater spring rates, the ride will be a bit bouncy and the front will tend to crash through on bigger inputs. Koni inserts or the like offer enough damping to eliminate these issues when running stiffer, shorter springs. BTW, Imprezas don't really have shocks they have struts.

the right is great. =]
so worth it. the new stance is sooooo much better.
not bouncy at all. of course if i do hit a pot hole or somethin it hurts a lil more than stock. but for the most part the ride feels as smooth as stock and handles really nicely.

Everyone I know that has the Cobb springs loves them!
Correct me if I'm wrong but dont Cobb springs drop the front 2". If they do I doubt the oe struts will last long and the front lower control arms will be around level or worse and that isn't good if you plan on tracking the car.
