no i think the xp9 is what he's asking about.
dd, you don't want to run race pads on the street. they are scary when they're cold (don't stop well at all), can eat rotors when they're cold (like going through a brand new set of rotors in one week of street driving), and just aren't worth it for normal street driving.
now i'm not saying that the xp9 in particular is going to exhibit these exact properties, but running a race pad on the street on a regular basis is just not a good idea. it's always best to swap pads at the track and rebed the new pads before you take them out or you're asking for trouble.

How do you like the bobcats? I've only heard good things about them. I'm thinking about picking up a pair for this year's auto-x, and maybe some track time. They don't really have an issue with having to warm up before good braking do they? Since I'll mainly be driving on the street.

carbotech makes two "race" compound pads. one of them is suitable for street use, and the other really isn't designed for it. i think the Panther + is the streetable race pad. with those, there should't be too much squealing, and they should be pretty good cold. they run a slightly higher temp range than the bobcats, so they'll take a stop or two before coming up to full operating temp, bu shouldn't be scary when cold.

The bobcats are great street pads... I have them on my car right now... there other race compound brakes are what are to be expected of race brakes... more noise, dust, etc... For street and casual autox I think that street bobcats would be the best bet.
