Can an OBS use WRX struts?

Can an OBS use WRX struts?
I have a 2000 OBS and a set of 2003 WRX struts/springs. They should swap without a problem?
Also I was thinking of putting OBS or outback springs on so I could maintain ride height. Would there be any fitment or rind problems?
I know the original strut was from an RS with just a different spring to get the height.

Gruppe S ended up sticking my set of STI struts on the OBS. The right rear lower mounting hole had to be modified slightly to get some negative camber ( thanks Gino).
Car handles much better but it gets the STI clunk every now and then.
