Yes, they will clear. They are smaller than the STi Brembos. But, if it were my money, I'd get Stoptechs. Cheaper and better performing.

I got a question, and I think I've seen a few answers around:

What kits fit under 17 in. Rota Subzero's? I know the Stoptech will clear, and the Brembo's won't, or so I've heard. What are some of my other options?

Both the Brembo setup and the StopTech bbk are overkill even for track use for an Impreza L model. You'll never achieve the speed that warrants the need for such brakes even on the longest straights. The StopTech bbk will look great on your car but you can probably find more practical ways to spend $1500 - $1600.

Stick with Subaru 4-pots, which will clear the Subzeros and not break the bank. See my post in another thread for a link to one vendor that carries them. I bought my 4-pots from www.subaruparts.com/ but they only sell them complete with the factory brake pads and the aftermarket can do better for the $115 (of the kit price) they will charge you.

You can also check out the offerings from Racing Brake. SubyDude carries Racing Brake products. They make one kit that uses a lightweight caliper that uses the same size pad as the Subaru 4-pot. These calipers fit under 17" wheels, as well as the factory WRX 16" wheels.

Thanks Wingless Wonder. My next two projects, 1) Springs/Shocks, and 2) Brakes were things I am going to do before doing a swap. My goal was to do all the little things needed for the swap. Not that suspension was needed for the swap, but people have told me that the shocks are pretty much near the end of its lifespan.

I know that most shops, if I were to get a swap, would recommend that I also have a rear WRX conversion on my L since I have drums in the rear. I am not positive about how much it costs, but I do know that it is pretty hefty. I figure that upgrading the front would make up for not have disc in the back. I think this should be okay, but not too sure.
