Brake Setup ever try?
My car: 2001 2.5 Rs, 37450 miles, front KVR x-drilled Rotors and KVR pads, Rear OEM
Hey I have KVR Cross Drilled Rotors for front and rear. KVR also makes brake pads but only the fronts for now.
This is how the story goes. I was running low on my front brakes so I ordered a set of rotors front and rear and one set of front pads. I installed the front x-drilled rotors and kvr pads while keeping the stock rear rotor pad setup.
Now it will be summer time and I'll be on the road more often I want to change the rear rotors to the x-drilled but KVR still hasn't produced a rear pad for my car yet. So I'm thinking about going for Porterfeild Street pads with the KVR x-drilled rotors.
Does anyone have experiance with Porterfield pads? Are they squikey? Will they have more bite than my front KVR pads and x-drilled rotors?
I've e-mail www.pdm-racing.com and they said that the stock pads will do fine... but I don't see the point if I bought better rotors to use stock pads. I want more braking ablity that's why I upgraded my system.
Any insight to my delima will be thanked a thousand times.

I'm running the Cobalt GT-Sport pads on my car. I bought them from www.cobaltbrakes.com
They're not intended to be a street pad, they're intended to be used by autocrossers and Novice-level track drivers. They generate tons of torque at lower pedal pressures than stock. They are easier to modulate at threshold than the stock pads as well. >.50 friction coefficient, offer fade-free performance to over 900 degrees. VERY firm pedal feel, makes the squishy stock brake pedal feel more like that of an Integra. They are pretty noisy on the street, and are more rotor aggressive than the stock pads and Axxis Ultimates. However, I am an autocrosser, and I love the fade-free performance (and I've FLOGGED them autocrossing) great pedal feel and big stopping power that's easily modulated. Just my opinion from having used these, stock and Axxis Ultimates.
