i've used porterfield pads since i upgraded the brakes (about 40,000 miles ago). LOVE THEM!! they don't squeel a lot and there is hardly any brake dust. always a plus.

I've never used them, but I've heard VERY good things about them... I'd definately try them if they weren't so expensive

I have the R4-S pads and I love them. Only problem that I run into is the brake squeeling with them .... HOWEVER .... I re-used the factory shims and I am not sure if I was supposed to do this or not as they did not come with any shims. Can someone please verify if I was supposed to do this or not? If not, it wouldn't be that hard to pop the wheels off and remove those shims as that might be the cause of the squeeking/squeeling.

BTW, I am running - Porterfield R4-S all around, with Cobb Stainless Steel Lines & Motul RBF600 Brake Fluid. The brakes feel MUCH more solid than stock and the car stops nice & smooth.
