Brake booster bracket question?

Any other choices then the MRT one. I have only heard bad things about fitment. An links would be appricated. I seem to remember imprezer talking about the possiblity of a cusco version.

DooDs....if the bracket hasn't been changed since I got mine about 2 years ago.....it was the biggest PITA to install correctly.
Do a search and my SN will come up and read the thread...it was lengthy...

The MRT bracket, if it is the same as the one I got, might end up collecting dust in a box somewhere unless you are a competent mechanic...I'm an aircraft mechanic, and it took me the better part of a day to figure out how to get it installed CORRECTLY on my '02 WRX....it CAN be half assed...but I don't work like that.

yea, i just installed this little jem over the weekend. before install, i would recomend getting some longer screws for the bracket. i did the install on my 03 RS, and it was about a 45min job. just remove the washer bottle, and if you have some of those ratchet open end wrenches, it makes life much nicer. the bracket is made for the GC bodys so, it just needs a little nudging to get into place.

That the point

Of this thread though I am looking for an alternative to this bracket. Something correctly engineered for the WRX. And rallysportz thanks for letting me know that I have an Impreza I never would have figured that out. Even though it says it right on the gauge cluster.

Also from the research that I have done its not removing things that is needed to mount this bracket, but things like longer screws, re-drilling mounting holes, shimming the bracket, blah, blah. Looking for a bracket that has been developed for the USDM 02+ WRX.
Thanks

The short answer is NO....unless Cusco has done something recently with it...

oh man, they don't make things PERFECT for OUR cars... booo hoo hoo...

dude... just buy it, MRT is the ONLY manufacturer of this. Yes, to get proper alignment is a PITA. Mine only runs 1 screw on the front face and one on the side, with one that snapped, and one that crossthreaded, and won't go in any farther than half way... but you know what? IT's worked for over a year now, that's 30k miles. I drive as hard as they come, and that bracket has made all the difference.

sorry buddy, MRT is the only one. just get it, it's so worth every penny.

If anybody thinks they want to do the MRT bracket.....PM me or email me and I'll try to give your the benifit of my experience with it. Be warned that some sort of shim must be made and longer bolts must be got, but it can be done without breaking anything or cross-threading anything...it is just a PITA.
If anybody is in north or central florida, I will install the MRT bracket for $100+parts/supplies and gas is I come to you.

Yea these things can be a pain to install as they all need longer bolts and at least 1 of the holes drilling on the bracket.

If anyone would like one we have plenty, if your in the BA install is $65 and takes no longer than 1 hour.
