Okay, I was all stoked to install some lowering springs (the unidentified/think they're STi ones), but once I took off one of the front struts, I found that it was completely shot (no rebound at all) So, to prevent wearing out my new springs and wasting a bunch of time, we had to put the blown strut and stock spring back on and bleed all the brakes (BTW, is there a way to take off the struts w/out bleeding the brakes? The lines go through a hole in the strut and seem like they must be removed (and bled) to take the strut out). I was surprised to find that the struts were shot because the ride was not bouncy at all, oh well... looks like it's time for new struts...

What kind would you all recommend (its for a 98 OBS btw)
I was pondering between the KYB GR2s and the AGXs (I never knew the stock struts were manufactured by KYB, but now that I do, I'd be more likely to replace them with the same brand)

and... where can I find the best prices on these items?

 

And another question... Why do some struts for the RS say the fitment does not include the outback model. I have been told by many wise men on this board that RS suspension is compatible with OBS suspension. Should I disregard the 'does not fit on/ except outback models' labels? On TireRack, the rear GR2 struts for the OBS cost more ($70 a piece) than those for the RS ($58)
