Besides springs and struts...

Ok, so as of now, suspension wise I have front and rear cobb anti sway bars (rear on stiffest setting), rear endlinks, front and rear strut tower braces, and an h-brace. Overall everything feels very nice, however I want to continue to lock down my suspension. I do plan on going on to springs / struts or coilovers, however does anyone have any good cost effective suggestions?

I drive a 2006 WRX TR, and I plan on getting tires soon , working on various brake and engine elements as well, just asking strictly about suspension.

I am planning on doing my steering bushing as well as maybe an anti lift kit, but would my next step aside from springs and struts be getting like an sti rear link set, lateral links, trailing arms etc? Camber plates? Could someone with a lot of experience in this field perhaps guide be a bit? Thanks!

Get the helix/megan coilovers. They come with the camber plates. Then take it to get properly aligned and corner balanced

I plan on eventually going with megan coilovers, and by helix did you mean helix dna coilovers? Anyway, I already know that I can hit that road, however that means probably 1200+ spent. Notice the point of this thread is to find things I can do aside from coilovers . Thanks for further strengthening my plans for coilovers though lol.

in my opinion with a brand new car the steering rack bushing are a waste of time and effort. Put some miles on the car then do it.

aside from coil overs do springs/struts. Or for now just get some springs. Swift/Prodrive/Crucial/Pink..etc.

Or buy a complete swap off something like the spec C. I have a v7 set up ready to go. You can find stuff like that every now and again. Those are other options.

Well, you are talking about getting STi lateral links, trailing arms, camber plates, and potentiall springs/struts. Thats all going to run you more than 1200

Money isnt an issue, I'll save and get what I need. I am just looking for suggestions. I am planning to go megan coilovers by next summer, so dont worry about that one :P.

Why would the steering bushings be a waste? I heard that they really help the steering feel, and tighten things up decently. For 50 bucks, its not that bad.

Do you guys think that an anti lift kit would really make that much of a difference on my car? I have never been in a car that had one so I have no idea how it feel etc...Although I know what it is supposed to do.

Thanks guys!

ALK's make a big difference.

The steering rack bushings at least in my experience really didn't make that big of a difference in feel and I changed mine out when my car had 75k miles on it.

When the car is new the stock one is plenty stout. I personally think it's one of those mind things...but that's just me.

They do help very very much on cars with a lot of miles...like my buddy changed his at over 90k and his stock ones were TRASHED.

For the money if you feel like doing it do it. It's not that much.

Personally for the money you'll see more of a difference in replaceing other bushings. Shifter bushings. Trailing arms, etc

I wouldnt bother replacing the lateral links, trailing arms, etc.. unless you brake or damage your current ones.

IMO, tires would be the #1 priority, then coilovers if you absolutely must have them.

If you dont plan on autox or track, springs or springs/struts would be great for spirited street driving (not to mention save a boatload of cash).

If it were MY brand new TR, I would get some springs like OneManArmy suggested, wait til the struts popped, THEN get some reallllly nice coilovers like Whiteline g4's.

I dont know how I feel about this.....its a good cheap mod....but Im not sure exactly how much I REALLY noticed it. I guess I got used to it really quick. For the money, I say go for it.

Yea I don't plan on autox, but I do plan on tracking it, and as most of us do, I love a stiff car . Yea I wouldnt want to do springs without propper struts to match, but yea I was considering that as well, still am actually, I just would like the adjustability that comes with coilovers. The megans are nice because if I really wanted to, I could ride at stock ride height, not to mention that they are very cost effective.

Most likely I won't end up doing the control arms and lateral links, realisticly speaking, but other small mods I do want to do. Ok so steering rack bushing, maybe. Anti lift kit for sure. Sub frame locking bolts and the fender brace...how well do those two further lock down the car? They worth it? Thanks
