Bad suspension noise HELP!!!

I noticed what sounded like a loose strut a couple days ago. As I drove on it more I noticed the sound started to seem more like a loose wheel and felt like that when I changed lanes at speed. I checked all the lugs and no difference. Has anyone seen or heard of any such problem with '02 front suspension? Is there something I may be looking over? Thanks for any and all help...

Perhaps if you describe WHEN you hear the sound and exactly what it sounds like?

i might be totally n00bin' it here, but isn't there a nut right underneath the middle of the strut top for the damper? when thats loose on coilovers it sounds like a crashing noise/loose strut or wheel since the damper can move around and smack the nut up and down the body.
