A B or C- Vote for my future suspension setup
Greetings Fellow I-clubbers,
I have a couple issues that I need some input on. Ill try and list them as clear as possible as well as my needs.
02 wrx wagon, I recently had GST install Tokico D-Spec's w/ swift springs, along with endlinks and a 24mm rear sway bar. (GST did a great job, THANKS GREG!)
The Car handles alot better, BUT I find that the spring rate is a bit on the soft side. It feels great for a daily driver, but because I want to do at least 6 track days a year and go to all the remaining SFR autox's I can definetly do with a bit more NVH. But also remember that this is NOT a TRACK ONLY CAR. freeway DD as well.
ALSO - Camber is an issue with my car. Apparently I can only get -0.4 in the front, which SUCKS! so either get Whiteline C-MAX Camber plates (which now have compatible Tokico Dspec kit) OR get Coilovers which come with camber plates.
A) a higher rate spring ($300 depending on spring or does anyone want to trade for swift sport mach springs?) + camber plates ($310)
B) coilovers ($1000 depending on coilover), but damn I just spent so much money on the struts+springs, that economically A makes more sense, B is just plain awesome.
C) Im in need of tires (about 5000 more miles left on TOYO4) and I want the RE01R's which could improve everything a more. ($680 w/o instalation).
I'd rather NOT go with camber bolts in the front because they shift too much from what I've heard. Camber bolts in the back are already included in case I NEED them.
What do you guys think?
ANY Input is appreciated!!!
THANKS I-CLUB'ERS!

Camber plates or Camber bolts. You can always sell your springs and get stiffer ones. If you want my honest opinion... run your car as is for a few event and make improvements where necessary.
^^^ Thanks man thats a good point. Im going to try going without camber plates untill I decide whether to keep the Tokico's or go to coilovers.
What Coilovers are you running on DarkOnion? do you have any Front play at the top front spherical bearing?
I havent oficially met you but your car is coming along!

I am running the Stance GR+ coilovers. 8k/6k springs on inverted shocks. Only go to coilovers (in general, there are some that are extremely streetable, but most are stiff), if you know for a fact that you'll be a regular at auto-x or track events.
There are a few people who have said that they'll do all the auto-x events and as many track days as they can. They do a few... and you never see them again... I won't lie to you. Motorsports is expensive as hell. That is now compounded with crazy gas prices. It isn't pretty.
Also keep in mind that coilovers have more adjustability. That is actually really helpful if you what you are doing. If not, it is just more ways to screw up the handling of your car. You kind of have to ask yourself, what is a coilover set-up. When you get down to it, is a pre-assembled suspension package. A shock, a spring, a top-hat/camber plate, with treads on the shock body for height adjustment. If you are looking for something streetable, but still want to do motorsports, you can go shock/springs/camber plate, and get something somewhat close to a coilover set-up without foregoing ride comfort and the warranty on the shocks.

Our RCE Wagon springs were designed for upgraded struts like Tokico D-Specs on a wagon. Stiffer then JDM STi Pink springs and a wagon specific drop.
RCE Wagon springs + Whiteline Max C plates + the TIC top nut for them would be a great set-up. Turn-In-Concepts has all of them in stock if i recall.
