Anti-lift info
I am starting a basic susp. upgrade on my 03' WRX. So far I've installed:1} Whiteline Antisway Bar, 2} Whiteline Antisway Bushings, 3}215/45/17 Dayton ZR tires on Montegi MR-7 wheels. [noticed HUGE improvement with tires and wheels]. My planned next step is a Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit. I waited til' after I got my new wheels, since complete wheel relign is required after Anti-lift install. I haven't heard much mention re: Antilift Kits. Supposed to be very effective in keeping nose DOWN during hard accel and aggresive WOT cornering. Very popular in Australia on Rally Circuit. Question: Any stateside experience with antililift kits,Whiteline or otherwise? Would really appreciate any feedback and/or info. Thanks, Collins PS: I am following the rec. Stage One susp. upgrades by Vivid Racing.

I don't have any personal experiance with the ALK. I hear it's a big PIA to install.
You can get the same effect by using the MRT camber caster plates which are a hell of a lot easier to install.

I have had my ALK for about a year....I would say that it is one of the better suspension mods for the buck. everything you have said about it is correct. I have the following suspention mods and can still feel the ALK
SPT control arms
CUSCO 21mm Front Sway Bar
CUSCO 22mm Rear Sway Bar
CUSCO Type-CB Rear Strut Bar
CUSCO Zero 2 Coilovers
MRT endlinks
MRT Anti-lift kit

Install OF ALK
Thanks for your input. Nice to hear you can feel effects of ALK, esp. after your pretty extensive susp. mods. Self install would be PITA {alluding to prior reply}, so I'm having my Suby dealer do it. Total install $140. Worth it to me. Again, thanks for your input. Collins

You might want to check out this thread on Scoobynet:

If that thread doesn't already give you more info than you ever wanted, there's plenty more if you do a search.

What does the ALK do about dive on corners when decellerating? I've seen some info say it'll make it worse, others say it improves (lessens) dive. Any experiences here?

Hey Steppin Razor
You're right, the (2nd) link doesn't work, I don't know why.... or maybe it's because I copied it from the first post?? Duh...
Go up a couple of posts and try the (same) link there. That one works for me. Hopefully it'll work for you. It's worth it.

yeah, i got it. still doesn't answer my question. go to the MRT thread and see if what I said makes any sense at all. - Steppin Razor
I have to admit that the basic conclusion is a little embarrassing when compared with the existing text of the product description. Specifically, our testing data found that the fitment of the ALK increases from (sic) lift under power while reducing understeer and delivering the positives described by customers and quantified thru extensive track testing. - Jim Gurieff
From this you can see that the product name is misleading and inappropriate. This will be changed and qualified even though it deals with the geometric concept of “anti-lift”.
