Im about to purchase coilovers and whiteline steering rack bushings. my question is do i need an alignment after i install these products?

Alignment isn't necessary for the steering rack bushings but is pretty much mandatory for coilovers. Be sure that the ride height is where you want it before getting the alignment, as this affects alignment settings.

If you get the car corner weighted and aligned at the same time you can have them set your ride height as well.
