Smile advice on suspension mod

I installed prodrive springs on my 2003 wrx sedan. Love the new feel and handling. The other day, I drove a friend's 330 ci bmw coupe. my 2001? I loved the handling and noticed that it drove as if it was on rails when I took sharp corners.

Now being a die hard Subaru owner, I don't see myself ever driving a BMR however, I do love the handling and would love to "mirror" the feel. In reading the multiple posts, it appears that the next step for me is to go with sway bars, 17" rims, and a rear strut. With this said, other than the springs, I'm riding on oem parts.

The goal is to get that "rail" like feel....Any advice as to my next steps would be appreciated!

Upgrading your swaybars, endlinks and even getting some strut tower bars will help to improve handling through turns and such. Getting some good tires will help a lot as well. Good luck with your car .

What is your budget? Front and rear swaybars, endlinks and struts would make a HUGE difference. Koni inserts are supposed to be great with the prodrives.

I have whiteline front and rear steel endlinks, sedan rear sway, prodrive springs, kybgr2 struts and whiteline steering rack bushings on my 02 wagon. Handles very nice (neutral) and is great for daily driving on smooth or rough roads. WORLDS better than stock.

I have a whiteline adjustable rear bar, I just need to install it.

My next (and most likely LAST suspension mod) will be the koni inserts. I really like my combo, but some better struts would kill the last bit of body roll I have. Oh yeah, I might get a bigger front bar also....so 2 last things

I roll on 16x7 rs wheels...good LIGHT 17's are too expensive. Plus, 16s are cheaper and more comfortable imo.

true on the 16's but you get alot more sidewall roll and 17's would be ideal with some lo pro tiires. sways are the way to go but you could get some kyb agx's too and theyre adjustable. i just installed a pair on a friends rs with some off shute lowering springs and it made a HUGE difference and on the stiffest setting almost got the coilover affect in stiffness wise. i reccomend these for everyday driving habbits. coilovers, you will have to take a leak after everytime youre done driving:P

Yeah, if you're competing or taking it to the edge all the time, some 17's would help....although you can get 95% as good traction with good summer tires. I used to have some Konig 17's with ES100 tires, it handled really good but they were really heavy and sluggish! Rims alone were 20lbs+ each which ruined the fun for me. With light rs wheels and potenza 225/16/50 Im much happier. Although I would be happy with some volks or ssrs
