Question 98 Impreza Suspension

Ok, this is my first car that I've actually wanted to mod, but I don't know a whole lot about cars. What parts do you need to lower the car. I've heard that just springs will do it, but I want to go for the whole "racing suspension" thing, because I heard that if you lower the car with just springs or coilovers, it wears out the struts. Any input would be appreciated.

In your case, I would highly recommend either the Eibach Prokit springs, or Prodrives. They will work fine with your stock struts. Yes, the struts will wear a little faster, but replacing those in 4 years instead of 6 is a whole lot cheaper than coilovers.

Well, the car has 75k miles on it, and I don't know how it would react to being lowered.

I would advise going with springs initially, and then by the time your struts give out, you'll have decided if you really want to spend the elevendy million bucks on a good set of coilovers.
