KYB AGX from http://www.p-s-t.com/kyb.html#agx $389 w/free shipping.
Order the strut listed for the Impreza 96-99. These will work nicely with your OEM springs and offer 4F8R adjustability. Here's some pics of my Wagon install, with lowering springs.

Hi,

I have a set of Kg/mm Springs (from Japan) is sitting in my garage, the car was sold. It's only been using for 4 months and willing to get rid of it with a reasonable offer. It's only drop your car around 1 inch, due to it's a sports springs not racing so you wouldn't see a lot of drop anyway..

Let me know if you interest..

Anthony, I've been very happy with the struts, leaving them (so far) at their original "middle" settings of 2F4R. The strut/spring combo (WhiteLine Sports) dropped the car exactly 1" all around. I believe the small amount of bounce I've experienced is due to the OEM strut top-mounts, and plan to swap them out for the STi mounts. I had no problems with the install, except forgetting the rubber bottom cushion on the rears, discovered after mounting one rear strut/spring. The car really sticks in the corners now!! Been on the car for over a year now with no problems or complaints.
