I have an idea:
Buy a set of SZ50 EP and you should get at least 0.97 g. How did I get this number? OK, the tirerack tested is300 wearing SZ50 EP
(225-40-18) and got 0.97 g on their skidpad. The stock lateral g of is300 is 0.83. I believe stock wrx pulls 0.84 g, so 0.97 g should be attainable. Personally, my rubber is SZ50 EP and I can say that at least they have much more of lateral grip than my former Kumho MX tires.

Yah I got the Kumho 712's and they are alright, Not that great but decent. For right now though with those tires and my other modifications that 1g is within reach, but now after reading what people have posted that maybe I am farther off than I think.

Yeah, you pretty much need R-compounds to get that much grip. 712s aren't all that much better than RE92s. I doubt my car on S03s right now is getting much higher than .90g.
