06 2-Pots on 00RS....Hubs?
Hello All,
I just got a set of 06 2 pot brake calipers to upgrade on my 00RS conversion. I know the front 4-pots will fit fine as long as I use 06-07 rotors. The question I have is will I need to use the rear hub assembly from the 06 WRX to mount the rear 2-pots calipers (with the 06 vented rotors), or will the 2-pots bolt right up with the original RS hubs?
I kind of remember that it took swapping the hubs as well to get the 2-pots on. But if I can go without.....I can spend the money elsewhere.

NEVERMIND........I found the answer.
To upgrade to the 2-pot rear calipers I will need to either do; 1) Replace the entire rear hub assembly, or 2) just replace the RS backing plate with the 06 unit....it just needs to be pressed on (same as doing the wheel bearings). I may go that route as I have a set of 03 WRX rear hubs which have the better bearing design then the RS bearings, and the plates are around 100-150 for the set. Since I'm at it I may as well as replace the lines with SS and get better rotors and pads and do the upgrade right.
Cheers
