04 wagon shocks

so after some searching, it has led me to believe that there are no 04 wagon specific shocks in production. can somebody please back this up. if not, exactly what options do we 04 wagon owners have. i have the tein h-techs and now i need the dampening. any help is appreciated.

In japan they have inverted struts for the 04/05 WRX wagon. jdmparts had them up a few months ago. You might want to contact them to see if they'll have any soon.

For more info, check clubwrx.net... a member (bigskywrx I think) has a pretty long thread about his wagon suspension setup. He recently got those struts.

Other than those struts, nope... I don't believe anything aftermarket really exists specifically for wagons.

I've read koni inserts will work on 04 wagons actually... but it may take some slight mods to get it to work (using washers on the strut top). good luck!

Did they change the strut design on the '04? I run Koni inserts on my '02 wagon and they work great if you want a firmer, more controlled ride.

ive got the tein h-techs and i just wanted something that would be better than the stock suspension. ultimately adjustables like the KYB AGX, but if not those then anything else.

yup... the 02 strut top is a different shape and won't fit the 04 top hat correctly. I read on nabisco of some members using washers to make it fit properly.

Don't think there are any aftermarkets but you know you can get that V8 S203 Spec C suspension from jdmpartstx.com. Those one need a new tophat I am told since the springs are tappered but should work. I am getting the V7 S202 Spec C set put in (I am waiting to get them after vacation) on my 04 wagon, should lower about .75in. GL on your search.
