'04 STI springs on '04 WRX?

So this guy has an '04 STI and he's selling his Eibach springs. I have an '04 WRX and i was wondering if they will fit, or should i wait till i get the STI struts to make them work right? I did a search and couldn't find anything on that specific question. TIA

Similar situation: bought 04' sti springs for my '04 rs.

so I did some research:

Those springs (eibach or oem sti's) will quickly wear out RS struts. Not only that, but the ride will be bouncy due to the soft oem strut tops.

Apparently usdm STi struts and strut tops are crap (people always bringing them back to the dealer for replacements, some at under 30k)...

So, the options I see now are either to get sti struts from overseas (strut valving lasts longer), or wait until AGX struts are made for '04 imprezas... And with either of those options, it seems like the best way to go is group N strut tops (or camber plates).

anyway, I'd be interested in what your setup turns out to be...

just found out from a vendor that kyb might begin production for agx's for 04 imprezas!
He also mentioned tokico struts... I'll update when I hear anything further.

???

OEM STi struts are actually extremely good units. OEM strut tops are ok, or there are the Group N ones which are a bit stiffer. I would not say the Group N tops are mandatory in any way shape or form..they are nice if you if you have the extra funds, but it's by no means a night and day difference in the car

But to answer your question, yes the Eibachs for the 04 STi will work fine on an 04 WRX. However, I'd be careful as some Eibach customers of ours with 04 STi's reported uneven rideheights, so ended up returning them

Yes I am sure about it - the number of people who have had an issue pales in comparison to the number of cars sold.
