If you go to gruppe-s, you can take a look at some really nice suspension setups. It mostly depends on what kind of spring rate/adjustability you want. For $1800 you can get almost anything from Tein and Cusco. I've heard that DMS is good, too.

Just bought some Cusco Zero-2R's from them. I got a good price and their customer service is great.

i've been wondering about this too, though my budget is a little bit higher. i've been looking at the Tein, Cusco, DMS and Leda coilover kits, and i'm not sure which to go with for my WRX. while the car isn't totally a daily driver, it's also not a dedicated race car. i'd love to have it handle better but i don't want get out of the car after a three hour drive and feel like someone has taken a ball peen hammer to my kidneys, ala a go-kart. i'd also like the coilovers to last a while before they have to be rebuilt. the car will likely see some track days and autocross events. thanks.

A guy I race against at SCCA (b_drift) has the Zero-2R's. According to him, the ride with the coilovers set at the high ride-height is as comfortable or better than the SPT suspension. When he get's to the track, he drops it 1-2 inches while he changes out his wheels. Takes him about 20 minutes to do the swap. Versatile... that's why I want them.

sounds like a pretty sweet setup that way. it'd be really nice to be able to run both a street setting and a track/auto-x setting, and be able to switch between the two in a short period of time. i would assume that even at the "high" ride height setting, the car still handles significantly better than stock, right? i don't suppose you know what the adjustability range is for the ride height, whether or not they've got rebound and compression adjustments, and whether or not they're rebuildable?

oh, and is the guy running them faster than you? thanks.
