Probably around $3,000 a year, I dunno, I think you could afford it if you're not paying car payments. Go to some inssurance websites and get a free quote, that would probably be the best thing to do or call around.

it kinda depends on what you want to do with your car. If you want a project car something you can have fun upgrading and getting more hp out of then i say go WRX. But if you wanna fast car from the get go and dont really wanna mod it i say go STI
as far as the Insurance how old are you and what is your driving record like?

3k a year is probably a little high, maybe close. Definately no more, unless your record is bad. I pay 900 a yaer for full coverage: 500 deductible,1,000,000; 500,000. 04 wrx. 26,married, 3 other vehicle multiline disount. I thought that was a little high. but it's worth it. My 2000 sable is $492 for same stats.

Based on the no payments, and 15k salary, I assume you are like 16.
You may be able to afford the insurance, but I dont think you should get an STI if aforementined is the case.
WRX - still bothers me that someone is buying for you.
STI - No way in hell would that be reasonable.
Yes - you may call me negative nancy, but if you disagree
And no I am not one of those "My daddy couldn't buy me one - so I'm gunna be a b3otch" people. My daddy could have but wisely chose not to. If youre getting an STI you need to buy it on your own. If the money os coming from an inheritance...save it for school...you're less likely to get haunted by the benefactor...

yes my dad would be buying it for me and yes im 16... but he is also a subaru fan and doesnt make that much money. he currently drives a 2002 jeep but he says he would like to get a wrx and have the title in my name but kind of share it if u could say that? but ionno ill prolly be gettin the 04 wrx with a few added options. I kinda want a car i can mess with and upgrade as the money comes you know? but my first plans would definitely try to get the STI conversion...hood scoop, fog light covers, and the tail...i love the STI body just not the price tag 8-(

Just so you know. I am 26. I never had any tickets/ wrecks or any thing. I just got my first speeding ticket in my wrx 2 months ago.
Just watch it. It is really easy to speed in. Good luck. and welcome to i-club.
