Where is the (fuel pump)?

Where is the FP?
Guys I unbolted the two inserts in my trunk for my fuel tank but only saw a sensor and hoses going to my fuel tank. Where is the pump? I hope I dont have to pull my fuel tank!!!!

The pump is suspended inside of the gas tank, accessed through the plate on top of the gas tank and through the access hole in the (sedan) trunk.

Do I really NEED to drain all my fuel? Can't I just get it real low, because I am poor I know the point on my fuel gauge where my engine starts cutting out
