What are 05 WRX's invoicing at?
I'm starting to shop for a new car and was wondering what a 2005 WRX 5spd with prem. package will invoice at? What about with no options?
I spoke to a salesman recently and he said they could sell me the car at invoice, but I'd like to get some 3rd party information rather than rely entirely on a salesman. Is there a site that lists invoice numbers or do most just provide MSRP? Obviously the dealer has to make a profit on the car, but where is the line drawn?
According to the salesman to lease the car (New York and its new whacky lease plans) would be around $310-$320 a month, nothing down but security, etc. 36 month term, 15k miles per year.
Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Check out www.edmunds.com and use their True Market Value (TMV) indicator for the WRX (just click on their newcar link and select through to the WRX). The TMV will give you an idea of price and invoice costs in your area (by zip code) to give you a good idea of what you should be paying.

Thanks.
Edmunds quotes a TMV of 26k and an invoice of 25.5k.
If the dealer sells the car for 25.5 do you think it's a good deal? I'll try to get them to go lower, but I don't know how much bargaining power I have if they are selling for below the TMV.

Car Info: 2005 WR blue WRX w/ premium package
according to edmunds.com, the invoice on an 05' wrx w/ the premium package and no options is $24,369. That price excludes the destination charge which was upped to around $550. So your total invoice would be around $24900. If you can afford this car now, then by all means buy it. I was negotiating in April on an 04 wrx w/ premium, 5 speed, auto-dimming mirror and security system upgrade, and i got it to $23,000 before ttl. That was w/ rebate and stuff. good luck.
