thinking about buying
im really thining about buying an impreza and am looking at the later 90's wagons and sedans.since they both have the 2.2 engine, is there any really big difference betwen the two? i see people who put an aftermarket turbocharer in their imprezas. is this safe for the engine? or do they just not run over a certain PSI?

If its an open deck engine (which I assume it is), you probably don't want to go over 7 PSI.
If you really want a cheap fast Subaru, look at the old turbo legacy's (*if* you can find them, that is). Its a 2.2L, but it has a closed deck and forged internals and stuff. The bottom of those engines seem almost bulletproof. A friend of mine has his Legacy Turbo wagon well over 250hp (with upgraded piping, turbo and intercooler).
