One of the fuel injectors on my 1993 WRX died on me. I have had a ***** of a time trying to track down a compatible injector. After talking to Subaru's regional parts manager, he has no idea which part number is correct and the one I seem to find don't work.

I need to try to track down a service manual and reliable part dealer for my car. Does anyone have any leads?

Applied Model: GC8A48D
Option: BJ
Engine type: EJ20G DW1HE

 

Unfortunately, the local Subaru dealer is supplied with catalogs from Subaru of America so there is not a great chance of finding the correct part number from a dealer since a 1993 WRX was never sold in North America.

I would try contacting vendors in the world market like MRT in Australia.

You might also try contacting RC Engineering in southern CA, as they may be able to rebuild and blueprint your existing injectors or find a compatible replacement, although you may have to send them one of the injectors for examination.

I have owned this car for nearly 4 years now and have never had problems finding parts. If it wasn't on the 1993 L or a later year 2.5RS it was on the legacy.

This is the first time that having a EJ20G engine has made a difference. I have sent a bunch of "please help me" emails to many different import part dealers, but with no luck so far.

I have been thinking that RC is the way to go. I just don't really want to pull the fuel injector with out the service manual.

tempted to buy the EJ20G engine/tranny I saw on ebay yesterday... haha... only $900 and with only 50k miles on it.

 

I have all the service manuels for the GC8 models and the GD modles from when I worked at a suabru dealer in Japan. If you need part numbers or prices I can find them out easily and order parts from the dealer ship I worked at.
