Reusable Lifetime Filter Systems?
Has any of you installed a Lifetime Oil Filter System on your WRX?
Looking for feedback - I am seriously considering the "Pure Power" Cleanable/reusable, T6 Billet Aluminum high-flow, One Pass filter system with the off block option that mounts the filter to the firewall. (Part 8433BP Filter & Block Off kit) www.gopurepower.com
Advantages I am seeing are higher flow, 90% more efficiency (20 Micron), larger capacity then the tiny stock filter, easyer access being on firewall. Efficiency of stainless steel filter media allows for longer service intervals with synthetic oil.
I drive 36,000 miles/year in my Subi and have to change oil every 7,500 with synthetic & M1-108 filter from Mobile. Stock setup is a pain with the shield blocking everything under the engine! (Changing filters now every 2-months)
