recalls for WRX?
well i have an 02 WRX and i was wondering if any of you out there in suby-land have ever run into a recall on one? if there is a recall i would sure like to take advantage of it ya know... like maybe the bad transmission or the squeeky windows for example...

not really. It generally happens when the car is still cold. When you engage the clutch in 1st or 2nd you feel it shaking or chattering. It quite pronounced so hard to miss I think. Generally, it stops doing it once the car is warmed up. I think it generally occurs around 15K miles. Did for me anyway.
Its not a recall item but there's a fix and your dealer will replace the clutch under warantee if you have this problem.
However, what you describe sound more like you don't quite have the clutch off throttle on timing down.

The fix includes a new clutch, pressure plate and all the necessary nuts & bolts & springs. They only replace the flywheel if you are under 30k.

Have fun getting the dealership to replicate the problem. Mine does it all the time and they can never get it to do it, had it in 3 times and still nothing. The clutch shudder makes the car shake, smoetimes violently, and makes your teeth feel like they're coming out.
