The factory manual should tell you where to jack. If not then you can always put them on your control arms, just be very careful.

 

... if you jack up the car, you'll see some point or 'arm' where the suspension for that 'corner' is attached to the frame of the car. Since this point normally bears the weight of the car at that corner, it's a safe place to put a jack stand (just about any point along the 'arm'). It's almost impossible to put the jack stands under the 'jacking points' because it's too hard to get jack and jack stand close enough together. Another option is to jack each end of the car under the differential (use a piece of wood on the jack to avoid marking, bending, or breaking the differential) and then putting your stands under the jack points. I would suggest a piece of wood on the jack stands, too, with a groove cut in them to 'grab' the sheet metal at the jack points and prevent your stands from 'sqirting out' from under the car.

Umm.... I really wouldn't jack your car off the skid plating. Thats NOT what it is designed for. Skid plating is there to protect oil pans, differentials, etc. Its not a jacking point for the car.
