Cool Park lights stay on

My 98 6cyl. GT legacy sedan has 2 problems. The CC quit 2mo. ago, and today I noticed the parking lights are still on with the engine off. Is this a regular thing with this model or a freak? Any ideas? I don't mind fixing things, but knowing where to start helps.

Rocker switch mounted on top of steering column, between steering wheel and dash display. Switch controls parking lamps when ignition is off.

Everyone bumps it sooner or later.

Sorry, I don't know what 'CC' is.

Cool cruse control

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, I ment cruse control. I believe it may have something to do with a short, maybe in the steering column. But who knows, I never have enjoyed electrical problems.
