No lights in dash caused by cold?

I recently installed a autometer boost gauge about a week ago. Everything went well, and been well up until tonight. It was lunch time so I left work at 8pm and went home. While going home, my car did not have any gauge light at all! It was ok for me because I live a couple streets down. When I got back to work and parked my car, the lights went on after I pulled up the E-Brake. Work ended and I drove home, I pressed unlock and lock while drive and that set off the alarm while I was going 45mph and the car shut off!!! I stuck the key back on and drove home.. the lights are still out. I pulled the negative bolt off the battery for the rest of tonight to see what happens.. . any tips out there? Is it a relay problem?

Answers to your upcoming questions,
1) Yes I did install the gauge correctly.
2) It worked and dimmed well before this.
3) I used the gauge cluster for the wiring needs. (spliced the gauge cluster)
4) Yes I also splice the negative with the orange gauge cluster wire.

You're ****ed.

Just kidding.

Check fuses #5, #7, and #12.

If those check out fine, you're ****ed.

Really.

omgsh! thats it! Behind the autometer gauge had a fluid resevoir. i had to go to autozone and buy some, $5.99 for a bottles worth..

I pulled the cluster out and tried to see whats going on. I didn't unplug anything, everything seems fine so I started the car and everything works. Wow. I guess it was me using tape as wire joints. lol. I used the page that gruppe-S had (pdf) to install my gauge.

For some reason autometer's install manual said that the black wire was 12v and the white wire was neg... I did the oppsite and it still works..

Now that's some funny ****.
You obviously ignored the last step...the step that calls for you to beat the **** out of the exhaust system.
