Question Morette Headlights

Hello All,

I have a stupid question. I have the Morette Headlights in my 2002 Wrx Impreza. I need a replacement bulb for my main light on the drivers side. Is there a serial number on the bulb that I can take into my local auto shop to get a replacement bulb or do i have to special order bulbs?

How does this work? I wanted to ask before walking into a local store and looking really stupid.

Thanks!

Stacy

Assuming by "main light" you mean the projector/low beam, they are H7 bulbs. You should be able to get them at any parts store.
Some advice- don't just replace the one bulb, change them both. This is both to keep the light output uniform between the sides and because the other bulb is probably going to burn out shortly anyway. Also use only stock wattage bulbs (55W) and avoid anything with a blue coating or of the "superwhite", "hyperwhite", "HID look" etc. variety.
There are some true upgrade bulbs available but you won't find them in most stores. Osram (not Sylvania) Silverstar, Narva Rangepower, and a few others. If you're interested you can check www.danielsternlighting.com and some other sites that sell these bulbs.
