maintenance questions...
1) Does anyone know the rear diff fluid change interval? Can this be done by the "do-it your selfer" or is it recommended to take to a shop?
2) My stock '02 WRX has some starting issues. It cranks over unusually long before firing up, and when it does it maintaines an erratic idle for approximately 10 seconds before settling down. Its worse when cold, but also does it when the engine is luke-warm. I think its a fuel issue, but not sure.

2. that sounds normal to me. Subaru's tend to have a long crank.

I heard the rear differential isn't too picky about which oils as long as its 75w90 and synthetic. I just changed to uncle scotty's cocktail and forgot to change my rear diff. I'm probably going to be doing it this week. Can anyone confirm?
To the op, like the post above, its very easy to change the transmission oil. The only thing I hated about doing it was going SLOWWWLY so that I don't overfill.
