impreza: L vs obs?
hi all. i tried to search for FAQ's on model differences, but it seems to pull up everything with those words.
anyways, i am looking to get an impreza wagon. i have located 2 wagons, one is a black 96 L model and the other is a white/gray 97 OBS.
i want to know the differences? and which one is better? better in the sense of modifications. they both have about 111,xxx miles on them. and what is a good price? any help would be most appreciated. thanks!

In terms of mods, there's really no difference. You can put the same parts on either car. The biggest difference is the paint colors, and the ride height when stock.

OBS has 2" higher ride height. I think thiner sway bars. The body cladding which I think is actually plastic. The interior may be different, and I think there is something different with the AWD cause my manual says only the OBS can be used for real off roading. So get which ever one you like better condition and styling wise, and if off roading is important in any way, the OBS would be better.
