I just went in today and got an oil change at Uncle Ed's oil and got Valvoline Semi-Syn. put into my 2003 Impreza Rs. The guy said that my car was overfilled by about 2 quarts and that I should check the oil level again in about a month to make sure that it's not overfilled again. He said that it's possible that it has a gasket leak and it's leaking coolant into my oil. My car only has 9,800 miles on it, has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing, or know if this is common. Does it sound like it could be a bad head gasket?
I hope not, but we'll see, any input will help.

antifreez in the crank case is not good. 2 quarts would have the oil looking like pea soup. the antifreez will attack the engine berings. if its under warrenty take it to the dealer soon. ifit's not under the waranty take it to a real garage.how much oil did he put in? check to make sure that your not 2 quarts low. make sure the car is on level ground and the oil is hot but the car has been sitting for 10 min. if uncle ed's is an oil change place don't go there again.if he is your relative by him a steak but have your oil changed else where.

 

I took it to my fiance's house and he looked over my car and said it looks fine. So I guess I'll wait and look at it in a few weeks. Just for clarification no uncle ed is not my uncle.
