I just got my 05 WRX auto this past weekend! Needless to say, I'm excited, but I wanted to know what, if any, extras were worth getting. There is the LoJack and the extended warranty and the paint protection. Do you guys feel any of that is worth the money, if not, is there anything out there that is? Also, what is a good price to pay for each?

 

of all of the items listed i say opt for the warranty assuming you won't modify your car. and if you do get it try to negotiate the price of the warranty-

whats a decent price for the extended warranty?

 

depending who they go through... whether its g.e. capital, a.p.i. ... around 1000-1200 is more than fair for a warranty that extends to 7 years/100,000 miles

I think I paid $1,095 for my extended warranty. To be honest, I don't think it's worth it. Getting legitmate reparis has been a PITA, and even though I started out as a person who rarely modifies their car I'm getting ready to seriously void my warranty

For extras, I mean, you're cool now you got the car. Look in to suspension work and then power if you want to mod.

can the extended warranty be purchased at any authorized subaru dealer, or does it have to be purchased at the dealership in which you bought the car?
