eBay Service CD's and Manuals
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to do my own 50,000 mile service and would like to acquire one of these CDs. There seems to be a bunch of different ones from different people on eBay. I was wondering if anyone has bought a legitimate and/or anyone who has gotten something that was some BS.
I've been looking into getting a Haynes or something, but it seems like they do not have it.
I have a 2003 WRX Impreza. Thanks for your help.

The CD's on Ebay are unauthorized copies of the factory manuals. For not much more money you can download the official version from Subaru-
http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jsp
There is a $34.95 subscription fee which gives you 72 hours of access to the tech site, during which you can download the manual segments in pdf format. It's a bit painstaking and you do need a broadband connection, but when you're done you will have the proper manuals with the latest updates.
There are no aftermarket manuals currently available.

I'll check that Subaru subscription out. Is that essentially what the eBay ones are...as many .pdfs as you can save in 72 hours, or is it a a different version.
Has anyone bought a legitimate one from eBay??
I'm just looking to do the 50,000 mile maintenance so anything that would best help me out would be great. Thanks

Like said before, non of the ebay ones are LEGIT. They are the downloaded ones burned to a CD. They are real, but may not be up to date. I have one for my 2002 and its pretty helpful since its written for the idiots that work at the dealership service centers
