Did I forget to grease something???
I've never found a zerk fitting on my 2000 RS. Do these cars need any kind of chassis, suspension, or wheel bearing lubrication? The reason I ask is because lately I've noticed an occasional popping sound in the vicinity of my right front wheel, and I'm afraid I neglected something. Any ideas?

Nope, you don't grease the chassis on your car, and the wheel bearings are sealed. Some people try to grease the various suspension bushings, but there isn't any zerk fittings on your 2000 Subaru.
About the popping sound, does it sound like CV joint? Does it "pop" when turning? How many miles are on your car?

I pulled the wheel off and tugged on everything by hand and could not find anything loose or seemingly out of whack. The car drives fine and only has 40,000 miles on it so I don't think it's anything major. For now I'll just forget about it until I start hearing it more frequently.

I had a "popping" sound coming from the front on my WRX. Sounded like front left but I could never be sure. Sort of a thunk with "pop" quality to it, I'd say.
It would occur with a fast accel from stop or quick low speed brake and sometimes when turning in to my driveway over a bump.
Over time this was also accompanied by a creaking noise
Turned out to be a "slightly" loose engine mount bolt according to the dealer. They fixed it. The noise has gone.
I would have all the bolts on you front suspension and engine mounts checked for correct torque. Probably one "slightly" loose.
