breaking in a new (2007) sti

i just got a 07 sti...i was just wondering how long should i break in the car and what would be bad durning the breaking in period? also should i wait till the breaking in to get any mods?

here's a few things someone else brought up on NASIOC about their 07 and breaking it in.

Obviously you don't want to beat the **** out of it but be gentle with it. Most of the folks mentioned to just follow the owner's manual. I'm sure the 1k miles or what it calls for shouldn't take all that long to rack up. Just drive it around and before you know it, it will be broken in
