auto dim rear view mirror

My rearview mirror has lost the functionality to auto dim. It only does a portion of the mirror. Any reasons for this happening? Any fixes other than replacing the mirror. Thanks

This happened on my bugeye. Just take it in and the dealer will replace it free if you're still under warranty. You can't do anything except replace it. In the future, make sure you don't spray any liquid onto it directly when cleaning it.
