Any experience with this?
I got my 60K service at Brown's Subaru in Patchogue, Long Island about 3 weeks ago. No big surprises on the price, got it for under 500 since I do my own oil/air/fuel filters, but I caught a surprise today. Was cleaning the car, popped the hood, and lo and behold, no intake duct. Now, shame on me for not checking under the bonnet sooner, but what the hell? I called them up, and they said they probably don't have it anymore, gotta check in on Monday with the service manager. At this point, I'm not about to go and pay for a part that they should have put back on, so I guess if they don't have the old one or replace it, I'll have to jump through some hoops for a while. Any suggestions about the right people to get ahold of for this sort of thing would be appreciated.

damn... i'm about to get my 60 k but it's at a shop ran by most of the members of my local i-club chapter. so i'm not too worried about something like that. but i'll be sure to keep my eye open.
