Interesting video.

When I was talking to the owner of the body shop I made a joke with him that he should keep it for a couple weeks until I got my bonus. I plan on going to the body shop and see if they still have it or if Subaru has it and checking it out or cleaning it to put it on the lot.

Very true. The biggest redeeming factor is the warranty on the car. I have looked through many opinions on proper break-ins and can find many good points of each. I read an article on hard break-ins that gives me hope in longevity of the motor. The damaged body panels were replaced rather than fixed so the car really doesn't have any damage. I saw the car prior to it having any work done and it was minor in the fact that he side swiped another car so it wasn't necessarily a hard impact. I don't know how it drives but I'll find out soon.

Have fun dealing with SOA on that when something does happen. How much will another dealer give you for a trade in?

Funny you should mention that. I was wondering the same thing. Since I would be getting a pretty good price on it, it may be worth buying it to flip for another STI.

Car Info: I is not STiYLIN n e moar
I didn't like that my car had 60 miles on it when I bought it let alone 250miles hopped up on meth running from the cops. The exterior would be the least of my worries, on the other hand a built motor is only like 3500...

Buy it. If the story of what happened is documented, they can't deny your warranty for "abuse" because hauling *** down the freeway for 250 miles doesn't qualify. Since any damage he did is supposed to be fixed, they should stand behind the car 100%. Talk to the service manager about it, see what he thinks. Ask if he would be willing to give you awritten statement that the dealer will stand behind the car 100% as long as you don't do anything later to void the warranty.

Damn, wish I had $22k laying around myself.

Good thinking, about getting a written statement. Still haven't got a call yet so I guess it's time to go down and see what's goin' on.

shoot if you dont buy it pm me with the info. id get it in a heartbeat! its a sti for 21k! id say get service maint and ex warranty for 25k OTD, and you have a deal my friend. dont worry about the accident or the guy breaking in the motor for you . just be nice to it till 1200 miles and due a oil service. most likely the damage wasnt that bad to the panels. in order to sell it as new the dealer is required to replace the parts and not "fix" them.

plus with the documentation of the previous happenings your ok . your buying a new car. with a warranty not a used car. so the dealer is going to stand behind you 100%
